Welp. Here we are. Not only is it the end of the college football season, but it's also the end of a the 4-team Playoff era. Funny how things come full circle in some respects: 10 seasons ago, the 4-team Playoff started with a Big Ten team playing a Pac-12 team for the championship, and here in 2024, the same thing is happening to close out this era. Unfortunately, that Big Ten team is not us, and is probably one of the most detestable programs in history. But, regardless, it's college football so I'm sure a lot of you will be watching it. Without further ago, let's get this over with.

Getting pissed off on Monday, January 8th:

    The National Championship Game
#2 Washington vs. #1 Michigan on Literally Every Disney Channel at 7:30pm (I just want to tell you good luck, Washington. We're all counting on you.)

    Yaaaaay.........

7:45pm eastern. College Gameday show starts at 5pm so they should have plenty of time to jabber before kickoff.

Rooting for UW- but expecting UM to win. They just keep winning and getting the breaks and are the better defensive team. I am actually flying back home during the game so not sure I will get to see it. I hope I land and see UW has won and it would make my day. I think also this is JHs last game at UM one way or another. Could be wrong but think the stars are lining up for him at SD to go back to NFL.

Michigan is a good team, but it is stunning how they are getting *every* break. Better to be lucky than good, I guess... particularly if you're both.

Plenty of time to either completely ignore or minimize the cheating allegations...

Michigan is going to win a natty and get away with extensive cheating for 3 years.

I wish DeBoer wasn’t so reckless with his clock mgmt at end of games- if UW is somehow up at the end I will just cringe if they have the ball and fail to kill clock like in their past 2 - given UWs defense this is going to be a 35-31 type of game- possibly even a barn burner like the TCU game last year- def bet the over.

    1. Cheaters always win (see USC and Carrol) and now UM.
    2. No one will remember or care that they cheated years from now
    3. I took Michigan +800 at the start of the year

You just said no one will remember they cheated years from now. But your example was USC which was 20 years ago. So it obviously won’t be forgotten.

It's not that no one will remember that they cheated, but rather no one will care.

Everyone knows who won the 2004 national championship and who won the Heisman in 2005.

Exactly, I know Reggie Bush was him. Doesn't matter what people say 20 years later. I remember watching Texas vs USC and nothing takes that away

uSC and recruiting violations are a diff beast than on field cheating to the level UM did it for mult years. Harbs will bounce to NFL and Moore will take over and get a slap on wrist if anything at all.

I don't know about that. Alabama got quite a few breaks last week. Michigan muffed two punts, one resulted in points, the other was inches from ending the game. They would've won in regulation but their kicker missed an extra point and a field goal and they still managed to pull it out.
