Combined, the mod creates a sense of consistency across both locations, acting as an all-in-one retexture solution.
Diving into the Dwemer ruins will be a vastly different experience once this mod is installed. The level of fidelity, detail and customization options are superb, which is good news, since Dragonborns tend to spend a significant amount of time diving into the depths of ancient Dwemer catacombs.
Improved Dwemer Glass
While this mod might seem rather insignificant compared to others, it does serve a purpose, especially when combined with other Dwemer ruins overhaul mods. It reworks the glass material found in places like the astrolab and the observatory, but it also affects a few other items as well.
The overall shine and material of the new glass texture is greatly improved, and enhances the fidelity and accents of Dwemer constructs. It's meant to be paired with other mods that overhaul Dwemer textures to create a complete look.
Dwemer Automatons Glowmapped

The various Dwemer machinations patrolling the ruins are deadly opponents, but their coat of paint is looking a bit rusty of late. This mod seeks to enhance their presence by glowmapping the various runes on their chassis, making them appear as if they're being powered by an ancient energy source.
Even better, the glow effect dissipates when an automaton is destroyed, which creates a neat sense of immersion. It's a great way to inject a bit more life and style to the otherwise boring automatons in the vanilla title, which is great for those who want to replay Skyrim in the current time.
Glorious Doors Of Skyrim (GDOS)

This mod changes many of Skyrim's most prominent doors found in both cities, villages, and ruins, and transforms them in a big way. Every single door is given its own look, feel, and operational mechanic, turning them into distinguishable and unique items unto themselves.

It's an excellent mod for those looking to overhaul the environmental experience, but it also has one added bonus - a mechanized Dwemer door with a gear animation and a custom sound that makes Dwemer ruins feel much more mechanical, functional and unique.
Dwemer Pipework Reworked

This mod seeks to greatly enhance Dwemer ruins by adding a fairly simple yet incredible overhaul to the various pipework. It may seem simple and straightforward, but the end effect is absolutely brilliant, making this one of the best Dwemer ruin mods around.
As a ventilation and heating system, the Dwemer mechanics don't actually resonate very well in-game. This mod overhauls that pipework to show heat effects, glow and steam, not to mention fans inside to blow the air around. When combined with the Ancient Dwemer Metal mod, they look brilliant, especially with an ENB lighting preset.

Without a doubt, this is one of the best Dwemer ruins mods to date. Its purpose is simple - to overhaul the metal textures of the ruins with bronzed, aged metal that looks far better and more realistic than the vanilla version. It works well with a number of environmental retexture mods to blend the metal in with the surrounding world.
The mod page even includes an extra add-on for the Dwemer automatons to make everything fit seamlessly. Though it's still a Legendary Edition mod, it can be safely installed and used by Special Edition players without having to jump through any extra hoops.
Better Dwemer Exteriors

The default Dwemer exterior ruins are acceptable on their own, but there's always room for improvement. This mod is simple and aims to build upon the existing exterior infrastructure by adding new buildings, modules, and other items in order to create a more immersive experience.
The effect won't be immediately noticeable to those who are just playing Skyrim for the first time, but it does go a long way towards creating a much more fleshed-out and expansive experience. It requires no guesswork or elbow grease to install, making it a must for those who want more from their Dwemer ruins.
ENB Particle Lights - Dwemer Lanterns

Those who like to play Skyrim using an ENB preset now have the opportunity to customize the experience with a series of particle light add-ons. One in particular overhauls the lighting of the various Dwemer lanterns and torches inside the ruins.

Particle lights scatter realistically across surfaces, making them much morevisually appealing than standard lights. This is obvious when scouring Dwemer ruins, which look much better with this mod active. It's a good place to start for those who want to experiment with particle lights and add more into the game at a later time.
A Tale Of The Dwemer - A Questline Mod
Skyrim has a number of challenging quests built into the game, but this mod offers its own, on top of affecting Dwemer ruins in a big way. It's based on an older Legendary Edition mod known as The Azure Tree, which is not currently available for download. It adds a new world with new ruins to explore, and a story to drive the adventure.
Players must embark on a journey to try and uncover the fabled lost city of Advenchel, and the disappearance of a group of religious Dwemer. There are caves to explore, loot to plunder, and even crystals that can be refined into new items. With a story at its core, this is one Dwemer ruins mod that delivers on more than just the visual front.
Dwemer Spectres

Dwemer ruin exploration usually involves going toe-to-toe with either the ancient Dwemer automatons that are still on patrol, or the invading Falmer who have made them their home. This mod takes a page out of Morrowindand adds in Dwemer spectres bound to the ruins who are there to give the player a challenge.
The spectres come in different variants, from guards, engineers, mages, and crossbowmen. Higher-level players will get a challenge out of the great Tonal Architects, and there are also boss-level spectres with the same threat level as Skyrim's mysterious Dragon Priests. It's a means of spicing up the ruins using a creative method.
