Executing live technical show elements including, audio, lighting, and other show elements as directed
Perform daily inspections of all scenic elements, lighting systems and special effects
Repair and correct any issues quickly and safely to ensure a safe guest experience
Assist the technical services team in daily operational duties including new builds and repairs, load-ins and load outs, system maintenance and other projects as assigned
Communicate with the entertainment team on any issues or safety concerns or issues.
Operate various vehicles, tools and equipment as assigned, as well as maintaining the upkeep of tools, equipment, props, and venues
Adheres to safe work practices and policies that further the safety culture of the department and park
Reporting Structure
Reports directly to the Entertainment Technical Supervisor
Minimum Requirements
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Availability during the Summer (May- August) with opportunity to extend into the Fall (September – November)
Must be a current college student pursuing a degree in Theater, Technical Design, Production Management or related coursework.
HS Diploma, prior entertainment experience preferred, prior theme park experience a plus
Understanding of theatrical and show products including DMX lighting, audio, visual and pyrotechnic equipment.
Must possess strong organizational skills, ability to multitask and manage projects to ensure on-time project completion.
Must possess a valid driver’s license and a clear driving record. Experience working with forklifts, man lifts, scissor lifts and other industrial equipment preferred.
Will be required to work various shifts as project and park needs dictate, including nights, weekends and holidays.
Must have the ability to stand, walk, crouch, bend, stoop, kneel, climb a ladder and safely work from heights frequently throughout full shift and occasionally lift up to 75 pounds safely. Ability to work in environments that are loud, dark, bright, elevated and extreme heat and cold conditions required.
