Silent Gear Mod - Minecraft

The mod focuses on weapons, tools, and armor. Recipes down to the individual parts used in the crafting. The combinations for each type of device are practically unlimited.

In the base mod, equipment can be made from all the vanilla ingredients you are familiar with, along with some additional materials. Mods can add their own materials and materials can also be defined in the config directory.

Introduce

Silent Gear is a tool and armor system from Silent’s Gems, rewritten from scratch and moved to a separate mod. It shares many of the features of the Gem engine and armor system, but with a few changes and improvements. For example, crafting a device now requires blueprints. This prevents formula conflicts.

Silent Gear Mod Featured

Tools, weapons and armor. They all share much of the same code. If you can do something with tools, chances are you can do the same thing with armor etc. They also extend vanilla classes, which means they should work with anything that requires vanilla stuff. They are repairable through normal means and enchanted.
Tools – Includes pickaxe, shovel, ax, mattock , mining hammer , hammer , digger , saw and sickle.
Weapons – sword, slingshot, dagger, bow, crossbow, katana, machete
Armor – In Silent’s Gems, armor is handled later in development, so it has some bugs and inconsistencies. In Silent Gear, armor is considered at the outset.

Gear Parts

The base “vanilla” material is included in the mod. These include wood, stone, flint, netherrack, iron, gold, diamonds, emeralds, bottles, and more. Two new ores, crimson iron and green silver . Crimson iron can be made into crimson steel and blue silver can be made into blue electrode. Hover over the item and hold down the ctrl key to see the material stats.

The crafting system has changed dramatically, but almost anything can still be done in any vanilla crafting grid.

Designs and Templates

The design is handmade with blueprint paper. Templates are created using a template board . See the next section for how to create a sample table.

Blueprints are required to build all types of equipment. Templates serve the same purpose but are for single use only and have some limitations. For tools and weapons, the blueprint creates a “tool head”, which you then need to craft with additional items. Or you can add a rod or bowstring to the crafting grid to craft the whole tool at once. For armor, blueprints craft armor directly.
