Story

Introducing Graham, formerly known as Curly, the vibrant 11-month-old chocolate shepherd mix, a bundle of energy and joy ready to bring enthusiasm into your home. Graham is a handsome pup weighing in at 50 pounds, still very much in his puppy phase and eager to find an active and loving forever home.Graham's rich chocolate coat and charming personality make him a standout companion. With lots of energy to spare, Graham is seeking a family or individual who can keep up with his zest for life. Basic obedience training would be beneficial for this spirited pup, and he'd thrive in a home with someone who enjoys an active lifestyle. While Graham is a playful and joyful pup, it's important to note that he's not a fan of feline friends, so a cat-free environment would be ideal for him. Graham's playful nature makes him an excellent companion for those who love interactive playtime and outdoor activities. Despite his lively demeanor, Graham is crate trained and potty trained, displaying his willingness to learn and adapt to a loving home environment. It's important to note that Graham doesn't like to be left outside alone, emphasizing his desire for companionship. If you're an active individual or family ready to invest time and energy into a still very puppy Graham, you'll be rewarded with endless love, playful antics, and the joy of having a furry friend who adores fetch and zoomies.Come meet Graham and discover the delightful companionship he has to offer. Story

Meet AlfieIf you're looking for a well-rounded companion, look no further than Alfie! He's just as content curling up next to you (or on your lap) while watching a movie as he is playing tug-o-war. He enjoys being outside and smelling new things on his walks. He is completely unfazed by squirrels, great on a slip leash, and would make a great running buddy!Alfie is always down for a road trip and recently had a blast at the beach with his foster mom! He loads up easily to "get up or "up and knows other basic commands. He's house trained and sleeps in a kennel if needed. His best friend is his foster brother, Oliver, who is a 4 year old, 70 lb Catahoula mix. Alfie tends to get along best with younger dogs that are submissive and playful like Oliver. We suggest a meet n greet with resident dogs. He has been great with children (5+) who have come up to pet him, gently licking their faces.Alfie seems to be under the impression that he's supposed to catch a ball with his paws instead of his mouth. He hasn't quite mastered that method, so he just ends up losing track of the ball and making everyone laugh at his goofy quirk. He also loves to be petted and will nudge you if you stop, indicating that you're not done petting him just yet!The ideal home for Alfie would be a house with a fenced yard. He loves being in the same room as his human(s). He's currently left inside for 6-8 hours a day, sleeping by the door or on the couch until his foster gets home. He gets excited to go to sleep in his kennel at night.Alfie doesn't know he's 50lbs, as that doesn't stop him from wanting to be held or cradled like a baby. His foster mom says he is the sweetest boy whose big brown eyes tell you that he just wants to be included in the family, knowing he'll never be left on his own again. To see more pictures and videos of Alfie, copy and paste this link. Story

Meet Taylor SwiftATTENTION all "Swifties", Taylor Swift has entered the building! My foster family says I'm a fun loving girl. In spite of my humble beginnings, I have quickly learned the ropes to indoor living....and I'm all in. I love warm hugs, cuddles, belly rubs, soft beds, toys, treat-motivated, and having a backyard to run around in. I am still a maturing puppy.Life with my foster family has been much more glamorous than my past life. I live with two kids (as young as 6 years old) and two older dog-brothers. I love the activity of kids and animals; I also enjoy a cozy place next to you for naps. I play with my dog-brothers; we share toys, dog beds, and water bowl. My eldest dog-brother mostly ignores me, but I don't mind. When I arrived at my foster's house, there were a lot of rules I had to learn quickly. I am proud to say I am now house and potty trained! I respond to stay down, do your business, sit, shake, come, and working on get in your crate. I know my name and will come when called if I run out the back gate or through the front door. I sleep in a kennel/crate through the night and during the days when no one is home. I sit, walk on a leash, and take my treats gently. I am however, still refining my manners. My foster mom says I am a little bit jumpy and a lot licky. I am just so happy to have people who care for me that I am still learning the best way to show my appreciation. I have a BIG girl bark but I don't bark often.I like toys, balls, ropes, stuffies, and all kinds of chew toys. I've ridden in the car some and have done well. I am a smart girl, fast learner, and eager to please you. I have caught 1 rat, treed some squirrels and don't know what a cat is.I would do best in a home that likes to have a good time, that likes outdoor activities, with or without other animals. I just need attention and a secure fence with lots of toys. I can't wait to meet you and start living our best lives together. To see more pictures and videos of Taylor Swift copy and paste this link, you can apply directly for Taylor Swift by clicking the "Apply for Adoption button on the linked page.https://www.shelterluv.com/embed/animal/FODS-A-283All our dogs come with 30 days of free post-adoption support through Petcademy.org. Story

Meet RyderMeet Ryder, a vibrant 2-year-old Shepherd mix weighing 51 pounds, ready to bring boundless joy and energy into your home!Eager to embrace every moment, I'm a spirited pup who finds delight in the simple pleasures of life. Quick-witted and responsive, I've already mastered sitting and revel in a good game of fetch. Leash walks are second nature to me, and I've aced the art of being housebroken. The convenience of a doggie door has added a new level of fun to my daily routine—I dash in and out, relishing the freedom of leaving my shelter days behind. While I can spend up to 6 hours in my crate, my heart yearns to be by your side, sharing love and companionship. I'm a social butterfly and get along famously with other dogs, especially my foster brother, who has become my cherished best pal. However, I must confess that feline friends are not my cup of tea, so a cat-free home would be my ideal haven. For an active family with older kids, I would be the perfect addition. I thrive on playtime and roughhousing, though a gentle reminder about my size and strength during moments of excitement would be appreciated. My tail? Well, it's practically an airplane propeller! Treat-wise, I have a soft spot for nylon stick BarkBones and a KONG filled with peanut butter.Ready to embark on a journey of love, laughter, and endless adventures? I'm Ryder, and I can't wait to bring my zest for life into your home!To see more pictures and videos of Ryder, copy and paste this link, you can apply directly for Ryder by clicking the “Apply for Adoption” button on the linked page.https://www.shelterluv.com/embed/animal/FODS-A-206All our dogs come with 30 days of free post-adoption support through Petcademy.org. Story

Meet JakeThis handsome man is Jake Gyllenpaws. Jake is a real model and is good at stealing hearts with his good looks. His foster mom says Jake has the “model look” to him. He lays down and when you stop petting him, he looks back at you with "Blue Steel." Of course, this look often ends with more pets and kisses for the sweet boy. How could you not just love all over this boy? Jake loves to cuddle on the couch and be by your side soaking up all the love. After being stuck in the shelter, Jake has been working so hard on his doggie manners and wants to show you how far he's come. He can sit, lie down, and has been working on learning to stay. He is potty trained and loves to be outside in a yard with his family. He doesn’t much care for the crate, but his foster family is committed to showing him it can be a pawsitive place. Jake is a gentle boy and sensitive. After his last vet visit, he looked quite sad, so his foster mom took him to get a pup-cup and it made him very happy again. Jake will require continued spoiling and love, as he deserves the best.Jake is living with 2 other dogs in his foster family and loves having play mates. They get along very well outside of treat time. Jake would prefer not to share. It’s likely best to feed Jake separately from other resident dogs since he’s still learning that sharing is caring. This Jake Gyllenpaws isn’t a fan of cats. A home without felines is best for him.Jake is a Velcro boy and loves to be with his family. His human foster brother is turning out to be his best friend. Jake is learning to be gentle with him because he gets so excited when he sees him. Although Jake hasn’t met any smaller children, we think he would do well with kids over 10. He does like zoomies and with his zest for life, he may knock over the smaller ones trying to play.Sweet Jake is a real lap dog at heart and loves being by your side.If you're looking for an energetic and loving pup to join your family, Jake Gyllenpaws could be the perfect match for you!To see more pictures and videos of Jake copy and paste this link, you can apply directly for Jake by clicking the “Apply for Adoption” button on the linked page.https://www.shelterluv.com/embed/animal/FODS-A-170All our dogs come with 30 days of free post-adoption support through Petcademy.org.
