Jerry Seinfeld is one of the world’s most famous comedians and reportedly might now be a billionaire, too.

The hilarious star got his start in prime time with the hit series “Seinfeld,” alongside pal and fellow funnyman Larry David. The duo also reunited in the most recent finale of David’s long-running comedy “Curb Your Enthusiasm”.

Famously known as “the show about nothing,” the sitcom ran from 1989 to 1998 but remains hugely popular today.

It has racked up 10 Emmy Awards and featured a long list of famous (and future-famous) guest stars, including Bryan Cranston, Raquel Welch, and Kristin Davis.

Off screen, Seinfeld has amassed quite the real estate collection.

The New York native owns several incredible properties, including a duplex just steps from Central Park and a souped-up Upper West Side garage he uses to house his famed Porsche collection.

We take a look at how his impressive real estate portfolio contributes to his new billionaire status.

It only makes sense that the New Yorker has a gorgeous home in the Hamptons.

The comedian bought a 12-acre property in 2000 from another New York legend — Billy Joel.

The beachfront mega-mansion set Seinfeld back $25.6m (A$38.53m). Adjusted for inflation, that translates to approximately $46.1m (A$69m) in 2024.

Situated in one of the area’s most desirable neighbourhoods, the estate features a main house, three-bedroom guesthouse, and a baseball diamond that was added by the comedian.

According to Architectural Digest, the house even has a $17,000 coffee maker.

However, this wasn’t the first Long Island summer house Seinfeld had his heart set on.

Observer reported in 1999 that Seinfeld was set to buy Lee Radziwill and Herb Ross’ East Hampton estate, but the deal fell through when the owners backed out at the last minute.

Like his popular TV character, Seinfeld also has an Upper West Side apartment. However, his real-life abode is much larger.

In 1998, he purchased a ritzy duplex apartment in one of the Upper West Side’s most iconic buildings for $4.35m (A$6.54m).

The place has 3.6m-high ceilings, a 41sqm terrace, three bedrooms, and a fireplace.

Notable for its stately facade and vibrant history, the address is just steps from the American Museum of Natural History and Central Park.

Residents have their own full-time doorman, white-glove service, and a private gym. Units for sale in the building currently range in price from $4.25m –$18m.

Charming Vermont house

When Seinfeld isn’t in the mood to spend weekends in the Hamptons, he can trek up to his beautiful estate in Burlington, Vermont. The large lakefront home is a 10-minute drive to the city’s centre.

Although the actor is a born and raised New Yorker, the Seinfeld family has a connection to the New England locale. Jerry’s wife, Jessica, was born in Oyster Bay but grew up in Burlington, where she also attended college.

Mrs Seinfeld added this four-bedroom, waterfront home to the couple’s portfolio in 2010 for $1,05m (A$1.6m). When the property was on the market over a decade ago, it was touted as offering over 30m-stretch of sandy beach and a lakeside gazebo.

West Side garage for his many cars

Parking in Manhattan is a real headache, but the crafty comedian threw money at the problem. The Comedians In Cars Getting Coffee star decided to famously build his very own garage.

In 1999, he paid around $1m for an Upper West Side space, for the sole purpose of housing his car collection — particularly his Porsches.

He remodelled the building — once a plumbing business — to include nearly 80sqm of living space and underground parking spots.

The three-storey garage reportedly features four parking spots, an office, and a club room with pool table.

Central Park bachelor pad

Before Seinfeld scooped up his massive Central Park West duplex, he lived in a smaller two-bedroom apartment with picture windows and a fireplace.

He sold the unit in the Bolivar building in 2006 for $2.5m (A$3.8m) — a bit above his asking price.

Hollywood Hills home

While filming his hit series, Seinfeld lived in a spacious Los Angeles mansion in the city’s upscale Bird Streets neighbourhood.

The lot included a four-bedroom, six-bathroom main house and a separate, one-bedroom guesthouse.

According to Forbes, Seinfeld bought the spot in 1992 for $2.8m and sold it six years later for $3.2m to a “Seinfeld” producer.

As for his Southern California holdings today, he likely owns a hangar at the Santa Monica Airport and a couple of other commercial properties, but little is known of his residential properties in the area.

Seinfeld was also the long-time owner of a 27-acre compound in Telluride.

The Colorado vacation home resembles a ski lodge, with its 11 bedrooms, 13 bathrooms, yoga studio, gym, and floor-to-ceiling windows.

According to records, the actor purchased the property in 2007 for $7.55m (A$11.4m) and sold it in 2022 for $14m (A$9.3m).
