Misha C Finished the book yesterday and watched the movie straight away. I must say that it’s even better than the book. The main character, who in the novel was portrayed as almost too passive and “mute”, has much more livelihood and assertiveness, which is delivered by Ronan exceptionally. Honestly it's all quite touching and somehow manages to avoid anachronisms. The main selling point is Saoirse Ronan, who gives a truly wonderful performance.
