Arcane Lineage Necromancer Guide (2024)

Arcane Lineage is full of potential, allowing you to experience different types of races and classes in the world. As someone who exclusively enjoys playing RPG games, I tend to lean toward dark magic loner types, much like the Necromancer class. This class excels in summoning magic, creating allies out of magic to assist them in battle, and is also great for support since they are capable of healing as well. Here's everything you'll need to know about the Necromancer class and how you can go about joining up with them!

Necromancer Guide in Arcane Lineage

The Necromancer class is a Chaotic Super class, meaning you'll need to start out with a base class, such as Mage, in order to continue to the branching class. You'll also need to gain Chaos by completing some unique quests and corrupting your soul enough to open that branch up. Here are all the steps you need to take to become one and what abilities you can gain:

How to Become a Necromancer in Arcane Lineage

Since the Necromancer class is a Chaotic Super Class upgrade, you'll first need to get the base Mage class in order to progress to it.

As a beginning player, you'll first need to purchase the Old Staff in the weapon shop at Caldera Town for 50 Gold. You can find the shop behind the Request Board right near the spawn point.

Once you have the staff, reach level 5 and make sure you have at least 120 Gold to continue as a Mage. You'll need to traverse to the wizard tower just outside the main walls. From the spawn, head straight past the Request Board and out the gates. Then head to the back left corner of the walls, and you'll see the tower.

The tower has no obvious stairs leading up. Instead, head behind it to the corner, climbing on the stone wall. Then, look for shining white orbs that appear on the screen. These orbs will guide you up an invisible ramp to get inside.

Speaking to the Wizard here, you'll be able to have him teach you multiple mage skills, but they all cost Gold, so you'll need to continue to fight enemies and earn Gold as you do. Keep leveling up to level 15, learning all you can from the Wizard. The best way to level up is to complete requests and fight enemies. Then, to get the Chaotic Super Class of Necromancer, you'll need to complete some small side activities to gain Chaos. Take a look at all of them below:

  • Drink 11 Potions
  • Complete 2 Chaotic Quests
  • Speak to Necromancer Trainer

Where to find starter Chaotic Quests in Arcane Lineage

The first Chaotic quest you can get is in the Potion Shop in Caldera Town by speaking to Byfra. He is to the right side as you enter the building. He'll ask you to get him a small Healing Potion.

The second Chaotic quest is a bit further away and will require you to head all the way over to Deeproot Canopy by crossing the big bridge just right of the wizard tower. Head past the vendors of the town till you get to a smaller bridge where you'll see Krit sitting on the edge. All you have to do is push him off.

Necromancer Trainer Location

To find the Necormaner Trainer, cross the bridge next to the wizard tower, like how you got to the Deeproot Canopy. Instead of continuing straight, however, take a right and head under the archway.

At the second archway, head toward the left and go down through the cave opening. Keep following the left side near the wall, and you'll eventually run into an entrance. Hold E to interact and teleport inside. This is where it will get very difficult to navigate. It is extremely dark through the cave, and you'll need to do some tricky parkour to jump over gaps and avoid dying. The goal is to follow the trail of blue, glowing mushrooms. Eventually, you'll come upon the Necromancer Trainer, Ulys, in his house, where you can learn all the skills from him. Just like the Wizard, you're going to need plenty of Gold to learn the skills, so make sure you save up ahead of time.

All Necromancer Abilities in Arcane Lineage

There are a total of 5 abilities that can be learned as a Necromancer. It costs 400 Gold per Ability, or about 2,000 Gold in total. Since Necromancers are a summoning support class, they rely heavily on their summons to deal damage for them. Most of their abilities reflect this characteristic. Take a look at all of them below:

Active Abilities

Call Skeleton - Summons a Skeleton

  • Energy Cost: 2
  • Recharge Time: 12

Once you have all the Necromancer abilities learned, continue leveling up, putting points into skills like Arcane and Endurance to become even more powerful and use them to their full potential. The Necromancer branch is a great way to go as a lone player, and summoning handy allies to your side can be a lot of fun.
