How it works:
Every month, I’ll post a themed challenge and we’ll each make projects based on the theme.
You can do as many or as few of the challenges you want.
Your projects can be as simple or as elaborate as you like!

How to participate:
Easy way: Create a project around the theme (your own interpretation) and let us know. That’s it!
Fun way: Use my Monthly Challenge Workbook you can download and optionally print. The workbook guides you with more details and examples. It also includes prompts that you can pair with the theme to inspire you. Plus, it includes a game with rewards to motivate you. Download the Challenge Workbook here. And when you’re ready, let us know what you did!
How to let me know you completed a challenge: Fill out this form and (optionally) post on social media in one of these locations using the hashtag #jennifermakerchallenge
- ADVANCE Design Studio (our members-only group — safe but smaller — passphrase is VIPSONLY)
- Cricut Crafters and Makers (a very large group where many people could appreciate your work)
- Sublimation Made Easy (a large group where many people could appreciate your work)
- Your own Facebook/Instagram/TikTok/YouTube/blog page

Do as little or as much as you want. This is not a competition with one another, but rather a challenge for yourself to advance your own skills!
Everything is on the honor system, and there is no grading, voting, or anything like that. That said, I do reserve the right to remove entries, photos, and captions if I feel someone is just filling out the form with blank information to get “credit” (we can do better than that), using photos that are not their own, sharing stuff that is inappropriate, and that sort of thing. We’ll start with these as our rules, and add them as we go along if more are needed. Remember, we get out of this what we put into it.
Everyone can participate, from those who are brand new to those who think they’ve made everything at this point, and then some!
Member Challenge Goals:
- To encourage all of us to make more and to advance our skills;
- To push us outside of our comfort zones and find new ways to make things we love;
- To provide incentive to photograph and document our projects so they can be shared, appreciated, and used for inspiration for others;
- And most of all…
- To have fun!
Member Challenge Rewards:
- A huge sense of accomplishment for meeting the challenge!
- If you complete the challenge form to let us know you did it, we’ll send you a virtual reward at the end of the challenge AND your name will appear on our Challenge Board!
- Anyone who completes all 12 challenges (from June 2024 to May 2025) gets their name engraved on a plaque on a special rocking chair that will sit on the porch at our new studio on Maker Farm!

Member Challenge Questions & Answers:
Q: Do I have to use designs/workshops from ADVANCE only?
A: No, make whatever you want from wherever it came from.
Q: Can I edit my entry after I submit it?
A: No, once it is submitted, there’s no way to modify it. But feel free to enter again on another day with expanded/different information if you wish, or post your photo and information in our member group as well and edit/expand there.
Q: I used the form to share two projects today, but the second is not showing up. Why not?
A: You can only fill out the form once per day. Return again tomorrow to share another project!
Q: Do I have to fill out your form?
A: No, it’s totally fine to do a challenge project on your own without notifying me through the form. The purpose of the form is so I can applaud your achievement and give you a virtual reward, as well as track your progress toward the 12-month goal.
Q: What email address should I use?
A: Please use the same email address you use for the ADVANCE program so we can properly track you.
Q: I am busy/traveling/sick this month. Can I complete the challenge later?
A: I will keep the challenge forms open indefinitely beyond the “official” deadline so you can go back to complete things as needed, but I encourage you to complete them within the same month whenever possible. Please be aware that we hope to change the method in which we collect and track our challenges, and when we do that, I may not be able to open the current tracking method open after that — if this happens, I’ll be sure to announce the change in advance.
