If you're an art enthusiast and love artworks from the high renaissance era, then this place is for you. At the basem*nt, it's a vast space for contemporary art. You can stay there the whole day and enjoy all the paintings. It's a pretty relaxing place. You won't get bored going around. 👌👌👌

Two logistics points: 1) There’s a great deal in the form of a 21 euro ticket, good for 30+ museums and two days. If it fits your schedule, it’s a great deal. Ask at the ticket desk to see the museums included. I bought the 16 euro single-day single-museum ticket and only then learned about the 21 euro version. Too late to exchange, as I was told.2) The self service lockers will are big enough for most backpacks and jackets, though not suitcases (use the manned coat room right next to the lockers, also for free). Some lockers take only 1 euro coins, some take either 1 or 2 euro coins. You get the coin back when you unlock and leave.

It's a great museum. Very complete and has some beautiful pieces. It would be nice if they made the android audioguide for the Renoir exhibit available on android or through html5 on their website.

I have absolutely no talent in Art or know how to appreciate it but visited Stadel Museum as it was supposed to house works from the very best artists. I wandered around the building and was thoroughly impressed with the gorgeous building and also the large variety of beautiful works (of different categories) kept in pristine condition! Just amazing….

A very nice place with a huge art collection. Recommended for any art lover, with very detailed descriptions of the painting and the artist's life when creating works that go far into the past to the present day. The ticket price is 18 euros.

Stadel Museum in Frankfurt is a must for art and design enthusiasts. The interior is gorgeous and creates a perfect flow through the art pieces. From classical to contemporary, the selection is fantastic. I spent four hours there without realizing it. Highly recommended.

One of the best museums we ever visited, particularly because of the well written explanations provided next to the paintings. These were really special compared to other museums and provided valuable information to understand the painting, the story behind it and the background of the painter.Additionally, there's a free audioguide app (covering some of the most important works) with additional detail.

Many of the great classic painters have pieces here. Enjoyed walking through but some rooms were so stifling hot that it was hard to want to stop and take in the art.

A wonderful art museum. The collection is not too big, but it's magnificent (there are works by Picasso, Monet, Renoir, Rembrandt, Van Gogh, Degas and so many more)! Add to that fact that it's not overcrowded, so you can take your time in admiring the work of arts spanning 7 centuries with leisure. I would say for sure a must-visit place in Frankfurt if you love art!

All parts of the museum is a definite visit. If you have a day to spare definitely come here. There is a variation of different types of art and it really is impressive. From Matisse to Pablo Picasso, this museum has everything.

A beautiful art museum with over 700 years of artwork. There were many seats throughout the museum with books to look through with even more art. Tuesdays offer a discounted rate for tickets.

Very helpful staff. Normal price for an entrance fee to a museum like this one. Well maintained and just enough to see that it isn't too long you're dying and want to leave or too short that you feel it was a waste. Just right.

The staff there were kind and welcoming. The museum's cleanliness was also quite commendable. Every exhibit and gallery was immaculately maintained, which added to the overall charm of the place.

It's a pleasant round half a mile walk, and across the river from the main drag (Willy Brandt Platz).We spent the morning looking at the special Northern Renaissance exhibition, featuring Holbein (mainly the Older).Good amenities and lifts for me to get around. We spent some time (and money) in the bookshop, where we also had nice coffee and cake.

This is the main station of Frankfurt. The ground floor has the platforms for all the long distance trains and the underground has access to the S-bahn and U-bahnThe station itself has a facilities such as paid WC, food and beverage shops and seating areas. But the area just outside the station is a bit dingy and shady with a lot of littering and loitering

This station is the backbone of the transportation system in frankfurt as you can get Trams, metro, national and international trains from this place, but still it's not crowded as we see in many places, sometimes it's a bit confusing but one can manage if they check the details properly.Moreover sunset view is amazing from this station.

It’s the main train station of Frankfurt where you can get train to most of the European countries. I took direct train to Linz, Austria. Although it’s a huge and crowded station but there is no proper waiting area that facilitate you during the cold weather. Tram and bus stops are available near the train station.

It is a beautiful train station with its own architectural features.There are many convenient services in the train station, such as DB information desk, bakery selling German specialty breads, fast food restaurants, mini-markets, etc.But the sanitary condition, not particularly clean and hygienic. Frankfurt Hauptbahnhof is the bustling main train station of Frankfurt. Very busy at times. There are many food kiosks and other services available. Unfortunately there are some transient/homeless people who wander through the station, asking for money. The immediate area outside the hauptbahnhof is also a little sketchy, with some open drug dealing, but it's not unsafe. Deutsche Bahn runs a very efficient service, trains run very much on time.

This is the central station of Frankfurt, Frankfurt bhanhaf. Many food outlets are there. You can get Sanacks in 2 euro. We have pizza in 3 Euro. Mac D, burger King is also there. Very clean station. For oneday city pass you have to pay 5.35 Euro and for airport transfer 5.20 Euro.

The main reason I choose Frankfurt Haputbahnhof as the starting point for my personal travel is that there are quite a variety of public transportation tools that can easily to use from day to mid-night. No matter what time it is, the crowd is obviously everywhere inside or outside this station. There is also a paid toilet on the underground floor here and a variety of restaurants are also quite sufficient for traveler's basic requirement. I hope to have the other opportunity again to take different long-distance trains here in the future.

The train station is very large and busy with lots of services to different areas. It is very busy and crowded all the time. You can also transfer to U-Baun and S-Baun inside the train station too. Furthermore, there are a lot of cafes and restaurants so that you can find your desired dishes easily

Very busy train platform, but easy to locate the appropriate train based on all the signage and platform updates. There's plenty of food shops, places to sit and wait. They have luggage storage for anyone looking to leave over the day while walking the city. Wasn't many people to ask for help when trying to find something specific.

The train station is HUGE. Lots of places to eat or drink inside.It was not easy to find help, and finding the proper train and seats was very difficult as first timers. Our train was probably 3 or 4 hours late, easily. So weird.The bathrooms cost euros.

A beautiful train station. It is huge and the architecture is beautiful. It brings back the old days of train travel. I just love the main terminal area where the trains arrive and depart. Liked the architecture of the station. It's very huge and gorgeous. It's a typical terminus station where the railroads end in the station, so you can just walk to the end of the platform and move to another one without using the bridge. There are fast-food restaurants and convenience stores in the station.

The train station is beautiful! It has a historical charm that reminds me of Harry Potter heading to Platform 9¾. However, I must admit that the train system can be quite complicated, especially for non-German speakers or tourists in general. The costumer service desk is not very helpful, the workers have an attitude and are not willing to help. I accidentally boarded the wrong train and ended up receiving an 80 euro fine from one of the train ticket officials. It would be great if they could be more helpful and friendly towards tourists, offering guidance and assistance when needed.

Large and efficient station, as one would expect from Germany. Trains that connect all over Germany and the rest of Europe including Amsterdam, Vienna and Basel.Tram and metro also connect to the station. Lots of electronic and physical signs so it's impossible to get the wrong train.Tons of cafe and sandwiches type places available as well as a few sit down restaurants and the usual junk fast food.Unique architecture here and it is a visual treat. Functional and practical.This has to be the most used train station in Europe for me. I lived here for two years in the 80s; I love train so much that I make my trips around it - it was great when German DB was reliable and dependable.Not during my last few trips, especially 2022. Accidents, delays ...Oh, I'm off the topic.This station although heavily used, but I don't think it has a supermarket ... foods / coffee bars are plentiful. Some under ground tunnels feels icky. Many buses and subways merge here (duh)

A nice train station with a beautiful architecture. The main train station in Frankfurt with connections to almost all major cities across Germany and Europe. Signs are very well labeled making it a bit easy to navigate your way to the right platform, especially if you don’t speak German. There are many shops and restaurants to keep you busy as you wait for your train. There are also numerous public benches if you just want to chill and not spend a dime. It wasn’t that busy when I visited but a bit rush. Pretty sure it gets chaotic during rush hours. Good thing is they have service desks where you can visit any time and an attendant will help you find your way.

There are plenty of restaurants and shops for refreshments.Very easy to find the right platform and trains were on time and very clean.There is a McDonald’s, donut shops, book shops and more. Toilets are all mostly clean and only costs a small charge to enter.There is a plenty of different connections across the city near surrounding and far distance connections.You can also transfer to U-Bahn and S-Bahn inside the train station too.Avoid the pedophiles and drug dealers, the pick pockets and we can see them at the Entrance and please avoid looking them.

It's one of the best if not the best town squares I've ever visited in Germany. A lot of cafés around to sit around and enjoy the old town square in it's full glory. If you want to avoid the crowd, visit it early in the morning to click a beautiful panorama.

Definitely one of the spot to visit. So lucky to bump into the Christmas market in the area. Plenty of food and beverage at the market and the environment is lively. Easy access by public transport, walking distance to other nearby tourist spot and shopping district.

Suuuuper cute little city center, unfortunately most areas were blocked off since they were setting up for a Christmas market opening the day after we left the city. Still was able to see a lot, just not many clean pictures.

Its nice - the only thing to see in frankfurt really, although none of it’s original of course - the entire city burnt down during the war. I guess that’s why there’s about 5 tourists in the entire city. Anyways, if you are visiting there’s like 1 tourist shop and a few cafes to outside in. Great place to visit in Frankfurt. Pretty much everything you see it’s a reconstruction, as the original buildings were destroyed during WWII.

Stunning historical structures, main square of Frankfurt and city hall. It was too crowded when I visited there but you can take a tourist picture in front of the buildings, buy magnets etc.from souvenir shops and also grab a beer and walk the streets or lots of authentic cafes to stop by. There are also another charming old buildings like old opera and frankfurt cathedral nearby. It was such a great spot!

Beautiful architecture inside and out. You can enter the church for free, recommended donation if you want to light a candle. If you want to climb the steps to the top, there’s a freestanding ticket booth outside the church on the side closest to the river (opposite side from the church entrance). Once you pay, there’s a small wooden door to the spiral steps and you’re in your way to an incredible view 300+ steps above the ground.Know that it’s a narrow spiral stone staircase most of the time. The outer wall has a metal handrail and the inner wall has a rope handrail that is pulled taut (close enough to the stone that my mom broke her nail on the stone wall while clutching it for dear life lol). Some sections have small windows and/or lights near the ceiling but the steps are still rather dark in most places so I used my phone’s flashlight the entire climb so we didn’t miss a step. If you come across other people going in the other direction, someone will have to stop because it is extremely narrow. At the top you can walk the perimeter of the tower. There’s fencing and I felt safe even with high winds, stone benches built into the tower, and small trash bins at the top. Happy climbing!

Make the most of your layover by taking an Uber to the old part of town and visiting this spectacular cathedral. Buy a ticket for a couple of euros and go up the tower for a 360 view of the city. (Believe me, if I can do it, you can definitely climb those many many stairs up to the very top) After the climb, it’s time to enter the cathedral. I found it to be the perfect blend of clean lines of the building which highlight the sculptures. Found the atmosphere inside to be peaceful and serene. Don’t miss the hidden chapel behind the quiet room. The small museum in the building is also worth a visit.

I thought that this was a reconstruction but it’s actually the real Cathedral of Frankfurt. It was spared during the WWII bombing.From the outside seems impressive, but once you get inside you will realize it’s actually smaller than you thought.Great visit!

An oldest Catholic Church in the center of the City Frankfurt. With a beautiful architecture so spacious and good ventilation. The Cathedral is the only building that survived from bombing attack in the second world War. The statues and the station of the cross and all the interior of the church is very beautiful. If you are looking for a fantastic view of Frankfurt, make sure to visit the spire of the cathedral. It is quite a walk up there, but it is worth the effort. However, you won't be able to go to the very top.If you want to get that special view, you need to book a tour into the roof. On this tour they also take you to the very top of the spire where you will find a little museum and a view that very few people have seen. You will also get to see the Gloriana, the bell of the cathedral. With 11.950 kg it is a heavy-weight and you might even be allowed to hit it once (As I was allowed.)The tour is incredible, but it is only offered a few times a year and you have to book a long time in advance. Ask at the ticket counter.

Not the most beautiful or impressive cathedral in Europe, but well worth a visit. It certainly has one of the more interesting organs around, with the organ pipes being all-over. It is good that the dome is very regularly used for its intended cause, which however means that tourists need to time their visit well if they just want to have a look, without participating in a church service.

Amazing cathedral. There was a baptism going on when I was there. The organ was playing. How beautiful! I felt at peace inside. The sounds and the sites were glorious.

An absolute must if in Frankfurt. The architecture is truly amazing and will leave you open mouthed in awe. And the intricate ceilings are fantastic.It's really easy to find as it towers above old town. So you can't really miss it. Free entry for the main building.The viewpoint allows you to see the whole city and provides some truly astonishing views. It's only 3 euros to access but be warned there are hundreds of narrow stairs with and it's very difficult to cross paths with someone.

We were at the New Old Town and saw this cathedral from afar and it beckoned us so we made our way to it.The red stone looks really amazing in the light. We climbed up to the tower, all 350 steps. The way up can be quite narrow at some parts and can get rather claustrophobic. But, the view upstairs is beautiful andworth the climb!

Very interesting cathedral. You can walk all the way up and get the 360 view. There are many stairs, it seems endless like my efforts to have a successful gambling session. But eventually the pain and stairs end as I hope for my losing streak.

Beautiful architectural and religious piece of art. Important to know that this site was the location where German kings used to be crowned. A large part of this cathedral and all surroundings was rebuilt after massive destruction during WW II, so I understand that not much of it remains in original state.

We wanted to have some drinks on a Thursday’s evening. When we arrive, they told us with 2 doses you need to have a test. So we went outside to do test waiting 20 minutes outside for our results to enter the restaurant. When we came second time with our results, they told us we should have a reservation. We called and then the security told us we should order 30 euro per person minimum.So we went away…Seems they didn’t want us, like their guests.PS two stars just for Corona safety checks, otherwise one star.

Since I live in Frankfurt (which is about 3 years) I've always wished to experience this amazing Panorama Restaurant, highlight of the city. I had luck, as I called only 10min before my arrival to book a table, and had luck to receive one (normally one needs to book days earlier, and sometimes weeks).Needless to say I was amazed with the beautiful panorama and the simple, yet sophisticated interior of the restaurant.Food was absolutely delicious. Some of the ingredients were complete new to me (as I usually stick to me personally known recepies).Every course was presented in details by the competent and very polite and professional waiter.Special thanks to the waiter Mr. Wilhelm (I hope I rememmber correctly) who made our experienced so pleasant.With regards to the price, I would not say it is expensive. Excellent lunch and excellent service. Prix Fixe menu with either two or three courses and two choices at each course. I did the three courses with a wine pairing with each course. Fabulous views at every table. Restaurant is on 53rd floor. Allow 5-10 minutes wait for security screening and elevator which is also taking tourists to 55th floor observation deck. They pay 7.50 each for that. No charge if going to restaurant.

Very nice restaurant and bar, friendly staff and ambiance. I i came here after finishing the main tower top floor. Drinks are of reasonable price and the seatings allow you to enjoy the view of the city from up high. I did not eat anything so cannot comment on the quality of the food, however where given truffle infused popcorn as a side to my beer and it tastes amazing.

Food was mostly good - appetizers and co*cktails were very good, main courses were mediocre, desserts were many different things that were good but did nothing for each other.The service was both patronizing and charming. It was obvious the waitress thought we are not sophisticated enough for the restaurant because we didn't have a reservation and were not dressed. We found it mostly amusing, as the food was very old fashioned as in strong 80s influences in the presentation and mix of overpowering flavors. For example, the lobster bisque was more of a fish bouillon with strong saffron presence. It was good - but it has been a long time since I ate something like that.The lamb main dish was excellent; the veal was very boring, both the meat and the baked pasta that accompanied it. The sweetbread that made me order it was hardly noticeable. Fish was ok, no more and no less.The view compensates for almost everything and it was pleasant and fun. If you are willing to spend at least €80 per person before drinks you can do much worse.

I visited Zoo Frankfurt with my 2 1/2 year old son. We enjoyed seeing the nice variety of animals and the facilities were fairly clean. We were able to find ample parking at a nearby parking garage. Unlike several of the zoos we have been to, most of the exhibits were hard for our 2 1/2 year old son to see on his own. The viewing glass was often too high for him and I would have to hold him. Also the glass in most of the exhibits were hard to see through.These were the only two downsides to the zoo and other than that, we enjoyed our time there.

Very nice zoo to visit especially with kids, saw my favorite animal the rhino. But some animals are missing one early day visit is enough to see the whole zoo. And don't miss the midget goat farm where you can pet the goats

AWFUL ZOO!!! If anyone likes or loves animals - you shouldn't visit. In my opinion, it's ANIMAL ABUSE. The animals are in the worst conditions I've ever seen: small cages, not enough greenery if at all!!!! The monkeys are sitting on the concrete floor in a tiny cage, the rhinoceros' bones are seen through it's skin, he was so skinny. The food that was given to the monkeys was wheat. In order to be healthy, monkeys have to eat fruit and veggies. I am a person that loves animals, and I wanted to cry. I think animal rights organization has to be involved.

5 stars despite no lions and one house temporarily closed. The rest of the zoo made up for it. Good sized enclosures. Healthy animals. Fascinating aquarium. Seeing penguins from under water a special experience.

Amazing to see a zoo maintained in the middle of such a busy City. Had reasonably good collection of animals. But the cages are built to provide closer to natural ambiance for the animals that in several cages the animals are probably inside their resting area that they are not visible for visitors. From the animals point of view it is good for them that they are not disturbed too much. But from visitors point of view it might be disappointment that we could not see some of them. Also the water in the reservoirs are not that clean. Though it was really good some thing was not giving me full satisfaction to give a 4 or 5 start. This is probably the first time I see a zoo having ants, fly, several varieties of rates and bats. Highlights are Penguins, apes and reptiles house.

The location is easily reachable by train.It has variety of animals. Some of them are placed inside of some building and some of them are placed outside.I was happy because I was lucky enough to see 2 tortoise mating in real life. 🤣🤣🤣

It was a nice zoo! I went during winter so I didn't expect all the animals to be out, but there were definitely a lot of really good exhibits and a lot of animals that you can still see. It only costs about 12€.

What an amazing zoo! My teenage son and I spent 4 hours exploring the zoo and enjoyed it. We arrived right at opening time on a Saturday and it was not too busy. There are so many areas to walk and there is a playground for the kids as well!10/10 would recommend visiting and spending a few hours there.The gift shop and snack stands are great and reasonably priced. Tickets can be purchased online or in person.

The zoom is worth the money. There is no need to book the ticket online; they will give you a one-euro deduction with the one-day travel pass.

Love the organization during the pandemic with time sloths and buying tickets in advance. Even during the warmest period it wasn’t too crowded.The toilets could be cleaner, they were really smelly.Although my kids are not there yet, the way they decide who pays the adult tickets is nonsense- they have 1€ price for kids under 99cm, everyone else pays normal adult ticket.🙄

Considering that this is newly built just a few years ago, the cost of the build and the cost of entrance the design of some things are very poor.Overall I would not say that this is friendly enough for families. There are very few cubicles suitable for more than one person, and 2 adults and one small child is very right squeeze. The bench is barely big enough to sit on, not enough hanging hooks and serious lack of space.Baby changing facilities are terrible and there is a lack of understanding of the needs of kids.The pools themselves are ok, but again suffer from bad design.The baby splash pool is separated from the others, so you can't look after a baby in there and keep an eye on larger kids in the kids pool.The kids pool also doubles as the relaxing pool with various relaxation features for adults. But this means that the kids in the pool have less room for playing because (mostly elderly) adults want to relax and are not considerate of the kids needs.The showers are also very badly designed. It is possible to look into the mens and see them showering naked and going to the toilet as there are no doors or barriers. The ladies has a small barrier but not much better.The showers also offer no privacy from each other and there is only one small place to hang your towel in the middle of the room. So you have to walk to/from the shower to this location naked to get your towel where everybody can see in!

I had fun on the slides with my four year old. We could not find shaded seating but it was also one if the hottest days of the year ; packed

Loved it although it was expensive at $28 per person and we were in a group. Yikes!But gotta hand it to em they really made a great day out more amazing with their puzzles and games to keep you guessing and slowly progress your way through the brainteasers. We had the guide explain the debriefing in both Deutsch und Englisch which was great. Highly recommended and don't forget to think hard!

High marks for the overall experience here at Nexus Exit. Well worth the visit for story, gaming experience and especially the immersion. We were greeted by the owners personally, and their enthusiasm and love for detail was felt everywhere. Thoroughly enjoyed the games and will be back for more.

Great Escape Room Location! The beginning is a little lengthy but you have to get into it but then the rooms, the riddles and the atmosphere is really cool!

Very nice Museum hands on for kids ...my boys loved it...

We came here for the Christmas market and it just may be my favorite Christmas market. It's set in a medieval castle and the market expands from outside to all inside the castle. Very cool! Has a very authentic medieval market feel and lots of homemade gifts, lots of things you wouldn't find at traditional markets. Lots of people dress up in medieval attire which was also cool. Lots of really good food options as well. The market is only open certain weekends, so plan in advance!

Great place I would go there again. For a fee you are able to go in. There is a lot to see. You can climb the stairs to the top of a tower and see the country side in every direction. Such a great view.

It is an 800year old castle with a lot of history. You will be taken into the many rooms that has been turned into a solemnization of marriage. Some rooms have been turned into activities room. The kitchen brought you to old times and the well is a great architecture of the olden times.

What an amazing place to see, The Ronneburg ist a pretty special place to me. As a kid I spent a lot of time here exploring the old castle and it's surroundings.The original part of the Castle was built in the 1300's.The Well house of the Ronneburg ist definitely a visitor favorite. The Well at an original depth of 436 feet, the water table today is about 275 feet. Personally it's hard for me to comprehend how they even built this 100's of years ago without modern machinery. Listen to how long it takes for the water to hit bottom. This should definitely be on the list of must see places.

Amazing. The only difference between here and Renaissance faires in the US is that the backgrounds are real. That’s pretty significant honestly. I loved learning about life in an old castle and it’s goings on. If I’m ever back I’ll have to check out the Knight Tournaments!!!

A well maintained ancient quaint castle with all its antiquity was a pleasure to visit.

Nice castle with its unique Castle day event in the beginning of October. A lot of medival dressed up people, tents with medival crafts presented, different current time food options, fur, leather and medival style clothes and asessories, knives and swords. Dressed up bands playwing castle music on that time instruments and small performances with jokes are there too to intertain the crowd.The only one thing I wish was there - cooked medival style food you can get instead of common brats with french fries 🍟. I would pay extra and wait in line just to see my food cooked in a big medival pot)) food cooked by dressed up tent owners was cooked for their own group.There were few parking lots open, all for 3 euro.

We really enjoyed Ronneburg Castle, especially during Walpurgisnacht, where witches, fairies, jesters, and many characters from fairy tales and the Middle Ages come to life. There was a market with a variety of goods, all stylized to fit the medieval theme. At the market, you could also taste cherry beer and sausages - there was something for everyone! You could also enter the castle and walk up the stairs, where you could eat onion soup or simply enjoy tea or coffee with cake. There were also many activities for children, such as a carousel, archery, and face painting. The tower was particularly memorable, as it offered a breathtaking view that was worth waiting in line for about 20 minutes.

This is an truly amazing place to visit has such historic presence and beautiful views over surrounding lands .This was my second time visiting this castle and was fortunate to be shown the Christmas market held hear each year in December where everyone dresses up for the occasion and enjoys the medieval festival.They put on a great show hear with food, drinks, products and fire pits scattered around to keep a little warmer.For the kids they have a mini carousel with different seats .The castle itself is special to check out and has cool interactive photo props placed in locations though out .The Christmas event runs from 11am till 8pmAnd on for each of the 3 Sundays before Christmas .

We visited during the mediaeval Christmas market and had a great time. The stalls were interesting and generally well priced. The food and drink stalls received most of my money. A part of the market is held inside the castle with some emulation of how life might have been back in the day. Priests sang and led ceremonies in the chapel, cooks kept the kitchen fire going.

Gorgeous castle in fantastic condition. If you can make it to their medieval Christmas market, do!!! So many lovely booths and lots of people in costume, including guests.

We loves our visit here. So many beautiful buildings, scenery and very interesting to learn about the history of Hessen.The staff is super friendly! The staff from the restaurant closest to the playground were excellent. The waiter was very helpful and nice. The manager of the restaurant was welcoming and even made my son a balloon elephant when he was crying. It made my son’s day.The playground is wonderful! So much to do and well made.Highly recommend for a nice day trip outside of the city.

A recommendation for a Sunday excursion. The kids will love it, it needs almost the whole day to visit every single house and see every attraction with animals. There is a restaurant for lunch or dinner and some kiosks to grab a drink or a snack during the walk. Keep in mind that the streets are not very stroller friendly.

We always have a good time here! It's huge with many things to see and do. There's a market place near the entrance. Then there's also a nice-sized playground for the little ones. Many farm animals to see, and a great place to walk.

Lovely place to spend a day out (also with kids). Good to learn about our past and how things were done ages ago.You can go there also for shopping (food, drinks, clothes and decoration/accessoires). The windmills are impressive and in almost every house you find another exhibition.Was there three times and never got disappointed.

The Hessenpark is a wonderfully maintained centuries old village. In addition, they disassemble old homes from other parts of the province and bring them here for reassembly and preservation. The park is on a large land area, likely over a thousand acres. Think historic Williamsburg without trying to be touristy. There are craftsmen on site, and certain processes like ink dying are shown. We were there in summer and fruits were ripe and you could pick cherries and other fruit from the trees. The hiking trail takes you around the site. Don’t miss the windmill. You can climb up inside and see how it works.

This place was SO large. I took my 5 year old and we spent several hours there and still didn't see everything. All the neat little houses and businesses you get to see inside of. My son loved all the animals around the place, especially the rabbits. We really enjoyed climbing into the windmill.

Super interesting! It's an air park, there are lots of small old German houses and inside of every of them museums are. You need to buy a ticket and then you are free to stay there as long as you want to. There is a Cafe, bakery, small shops etc. where you can have a rest and eat. There is also a small lake. What is interesting that all houses are built like in different parts of Hessen and it's written. F.e. You can see tilling roofs in the northem part and straw ones in tne southem. Super interesting. I would recomend to go earlier cos after 17-18 all houses (museums, shops, Cafe etc) start to close and the last bus is at 18.30!!! Be careful. Very good place!

The Georgsdome is almost 800 years old and a beautiful cathedral on a big rock next to the river Lahn. A must see when you visit Rhein-Main area!

Really special, quote old and with lovely frescos inside and out. Park somewhere down below and meander your way up for maximal enjoyment. I managed to carry my infant all the way up, in, and around and she was delighted. Bring .50 to buy the small pamphlet (in your option of several languages) or 3€ for the booklet. The Dom‘s exterior is beautiful and has lovely bells, and the interior has a nice ambiance with chanting coming from somewhere in the transept and several centuries of historic art throughout. As cathedrals go it’s really special!

I am pleased to see the architecture and the beauty of the surrounding of the church. It's history is mind blowing.

A place to visit during the week! During the weekends is full! Slow down and admire the views!

If one is looking for the usual shops like Nike or Tommy Hilfiger etc., you are definitely right here. All the prices are lowered by a lot, some even over 100 euros. It has public bathrooms and everything is wheelchair accessible. The parking lot is quite big, and you are able to park for four hours for free. Every hour afterwards costs two euros. I do have to say that it only has the basic shops and a few more unique shops, meaning that you could also get this in a normal shopping mall. The only plus point is that, as it is an outlet, it is cheaper than usual. I can recommend it if you aren't looking for something too special. It also has a few places to get food and drinks. On the weekends, holidays and in summer it can get quite full. The same goes for after school or work, when ther is nice weather. In these cases it could get hard to find a place to park, however, there are usually enough. The train station is also near by. In overall it is quite well connected.(As a tip for maybe a few new Shops, many Teenagers today shop at Pull&Bear, Bershka, Hollister, Forever 21 or Urban Outfitters)

You will not find many global brands but location is far away from Dusseldorf. So I will not recommend to waste your time to get something from there if not necessary. Enjoy

Amazing experience and a highlight when you are in Wuppertal. Just take a ride from one end to the other.Consider checking the schedules because the Schwebebahn is often in maintenance mode.

Only runs on weekends right now. But if you keep that in mind, it's a very affordable and unique tourist attraction. Great way to see a beautiful city. Buy the all-day ticket and hop on and off. Don't forget to learn about the famous elephant who rode the train

Elevatated train from 1901 is a must see. It costs €14.50 for a 3-person 24-hour ticket that includes buses.

It's a very good experience for a one time ride. The trains were nice and clean. Lines are beautifully constructed over the central canal through the city. The views of the surrounding hills are also nice.Tips: The tail end seats offer the best views. It's a bit noisy ride.

I was told about this suspension railway and recommended to try it. I joined at Kluse (one stop down from the main train station, next to the cinema) and grabbed a ticket - although cheap (only 1.70) I found the machine doesn't take credit card, so come prepared with coins.The railway isn't big - only two carriages - but they are pretty frequent so if you miss one (or it's full), you don't have long to wait for the next. The carriages have been modernised: they're brightly-lit with clean seats that don't look worn in any way. Sitting at the back gives a good view down the river and along the roads during the trip, but as I tried it last evening in winter most of my trip was quite dark.I travelled south-west all the way to Vohwinkel (the terminal stop) where it's possible to see the other carriages parked, so there's quite a few cars. I then grabbed the one on the other side and travelled back the other way.Quite leisurely, a pretty smooth ride and fairly quick, given the age of the technology. Well worth the trip!

The zoo is located just near the Hacheny station and is accessible easily with U Bahn. No instructing brochure or map. A selection variety of animals. In my opinion, most not kept in optimal condition. It can be a good and instructive day for the kids though. Restaurants, Cafe and WC available. The highlight of the zoo are Rhinos and the Urangutans. I personally am not a fan of or pro zoos. We keep other creatures in captivity with cruelty. It should be really heartbreaking for the animals behind the fences to see that the other birds fly in and out the fences freely.

A lovely zoo, €19 entry fee for 2 adults and 4 kids. It’s only a pity that there are many places closed in the zoo. They are under construction.

Small Zoo, but perfect for spending a couple of hours. We hvae visited during early March when it was not a season, but still nice, and in spring or summer I can imagine it is even better as Zoo is in perfect park where botanical garden is. You can reach the Zoo with U49 and than walk like 500 meters.

Wow, we are very impressed with how well the enclosures have been taken care of. The animals looked healthy, and relaxed. The zoo itself was also very clean. There is a nice bird collection and the mom orang-utan with the newborn stole the show for us. A rare sight. The entrance price is also very nice.The zookeepers are also very nice and love to tell you about the animals that they work with.Would definitely recommend to visit this zoo!

This park is one of the most beautiful parks which i have visited so far in Germany. Specially it is beautiful during the spring because of flowers and green nature 😍. It has fee for entrance and you have to pay 3.5 to visit it but it really worth because the park is so huge and fantastic. Wben you go there be ready to take a lot of photos from yourself because that could be really cool for your instagram profile photo 😉. It has many entrances and exits but i recommend to enter the main entrance because it is near Ubahn. For reaching the park you can simply take one Ubahn from Dortmund Hbf and reach the park after around 5 stations. There is a tower in the park which is so high and you can pay more 2 Euros and go to the top of it by elevator. Also there are some restaurants and cafe in the park which you can eat or have coffe or snack as well as food there. I don't recommend to go there alone because you need someone to take photo from you 😉

An amazing place to spend time with someone. The plants are beautiful. You do have to pay for the train and cable car, but besides that, the park is large. You can buy a combination ticket to go the tower, and the views are also gorgeous.

Pretty nice but overrated park on the outskirts of Dortmund. It costs €3.50 to enter and you can't even get on top of Florian Turm. There aren't a lot of sights inside of the park apart from a lake and the Japanese garden which is cool. I haven't seen such garden. However, everything else is just normal and you will find it in every public park. Also, all restaurants and shops are closed. However, there are many different kinds of trees and flowers, it is really calm and there are a lot of attractions for kids.

I recently visited Westfalen Park in February and was impressed by its vast green space and numerous children's play areas. Although the railway and boats were closed during the winter season, it remained a fantastic park for children to explore and enjoy. Additionally, the park offers great opportunities for jogging and staying active.

Beautiful big park for kids to have the best time of their childhood. So much area to explore and play. The parents can of course relax and have a nice picnic while the kids enjoy the play area

Although I'd rebel against a tax for entering a PARK, i must say it's worth it. WC with hot water, a lot of light installations, two subway/u-bahn stations in close proximity, a lot of wildlife, different gardens and overall a calm and beautiful place, not ruined by night gangs of teens.

Spring time is one of the best times for the park. We were there in the middle of the day, so it was empty.The food selection is obviously limited more to weekends and summer, but it's always a great place for a stroll.

It's very easy to spend a day here. Except from various botanical plants you can enjoy the cable car or take a tour with a small train around the park. There are also cafes and restaurants inside.

A great park to walk around, especially with kids. The entrance fee is 3,5€. Although this is a botanical garden full with many types of roses, the flowers haven't bloomed yet. That was a shame.

Loved the view, loved the place.I am not sure if I was lucky or not. The weather was so bad, wind, rain, and fog, that I couldn't take a proper pictures and the view wasn't clear.But totally worth it.

Incredible view, 3€ entry for person. We went on Friday afternoon and there were only 2 other people on top with us. Can't miss this if you are exploring dortmund, combination with park is worth it.

Overrated tower located in Westfallen Park. You can't reach it without paying the entrance fee for the park of €3.50. Furthermore, you can't get on top of Florian Turm. The tower itself isn't anything special.

A great view of Dortmund

The Florianturn is situated in a large park with costs €4 to enter per person. If you want to go up to the top of the TV tower it costs €3 per person but we'll worth it for the views all around Dortmund. Once you are in the park there are lovely long walks, great place to take the kids for a day out as there are a few play area,s dotted around, or even for picnic, the beautifully kept gardens are lovely to see. There is also a small train that will take you all around the garden, also the have a cable car if you would prefer take you across it, not sure what they charge for them as we didn't use them. There is also a lovely restaurant to stop of for a lovely lunch, the prices are reasonable. Easy access to all toilet areas for those who have a disability.

The water park is a top favorite for my son! He absolutely loved it. It’s well equipped and fun. There’s an area with sand and also with hard cover flooring so that’s good. There’s food stands about 5 minutes away from the water park and the walk around the area is absolutely beautiful. All the flowers, butterflies and everything made the day really beautiful.

This place is really cool. Well structured, safe, clean with endless hours of (non-screen time) fun for kids!The gardens are immaculate, beautiful and well taken care of. They’re complimented by an array of statues that pay homage to the history of the site.The butterfly enclosure is beautiful and houses numerous species from around the world.

I’ve never seen so many different designs of playgrounds in one park! Both me and my kids enjoyed this park a lot. There’s a little dining area by the lake, you can order Fries and bratwurst and Currywurst there.

Really enjoyed the park with our kids! A lot of different playgrounds and garden themes in an former industrial coal mining area. Clean park and good conditions of playground equipment. Will definitely come back with the family when around.

This is a neat place to visit if you have time and want to see the giant glass elephant, but honestly not worth the time to get over there for much else. It’s a great place for kids as there is a ton for them to do, but not as much for adults.

A beautiful park open everyday to people who wish to visit. The buildings are beautiful from the outside, but because this is a school and not a Museum, visitors are not allowed to walk in to. A visit during the weekdays means you get to see the future Finance managers & Econimists of Nordrhein-Westfalen.

Beautiful gardens on the edge of a cute village. Great place to walk your dogs (on a lead). Plenty of seating, shade and flat pathways.

Gorgeous castle. Biggest one on our 6 day trip.

Although it looks like a castle this is a school for the tax and finance management studies for that province... you get to roam around the outercircle and surrounding of this premises which has a huge park full of sculptures at its back side and a water body surrounding the castle which has ducks in it. You can only get inside if accompanied by a resident of the building otherwise it's a good walk around surrounding.

what a gem of a find, unfortunatley covid restricted our tour. the garden is not as big as Herrenhausen in Hannover but here is a spooky trail at the back of the Schloss. there is also a trek to another historical site, that is 12 km. maye next time. will be back.

A MOST impressive German castle with wonderful shady waks under lines of oak and other trees. The photos say it all.Do visit the adjoining town for lunch, but avoid the dull ice creams at Schloss Nordkirchen served by a rather miserable man!

Great place for a long walk

Beautiful grounds. We just missed the tour of the indoors as it was a spontaneous visit but it was still worth the trip. Gorgeous canals, tons of birds and lovely vegetation. We saw baby swans for the first time which were adorable.

Nordkirche Castle can be reached in about 35 minutes from Münster by car. There is enough parking space. Nordkirchen Castle is a very large moated castle in the Baroque style, with a beautiful park and waterways. The castle is very popular for weddings and also for excursions. A small part of the interior can be visited with a guided tour. There is also a restaurant with a beautiful terrace.

This is a very beautiful castle! Unfortunately, we did not have an excursion inside it, but the outside territory is impressive. It's a big green area with a pond and fountain. Not far from you can find the center of the city with cafes and restaurants.

Visited Schloss Nordkirchen on a Sunday with really good weather. Beautiful English garden (Venus island) with lots of statues. Go for some cake 🍰 and a coffee or a beer 🍻 at the Schloss Café in the courtyard. Afterward go for a long walk (Fledermaus Weg) in the nearby forest 🌳 and end up back at the parking lot 🅿️ where you started off.

A wonderful lake situated in Munster. A good place to spend time with nature.

Beautiful place to chill. Evening time is best. When sun sets the West part becomes reddish and outstanding!!Have chance of boating on the lake water.

It is worth an evening walk or jogging around it. Very quiet and nice view.

Beautiful lake. There is facility of boating in the lake which costs around 10Euro. You can sit near the lake and see the ducks and other birds. Around the lake, one can go for walk or jogging.

Really awesome and beautiful lake. Worth a trip, either for a walk along the bank or to take a little boat and paddle along. We choose the latter, a bit tiring but really worth it!!

We had a brilliant day visiting here! The zoo is clean and tidy. The animals are well looked after and cared for. The staff are super friendly. There's lots of things to see and do. Lots of amazing playparks scattered around the park. We were able to feed the elephants - free of charge! And also the little parakeets. They have a few walk in enclosures, goats and lemurs. The whole day was fantastic! I would highly recommend visiting here! Children of all ages and adults would have a great time!

Münster Zoo is always worth a visit. But saying that it would be even better when the building projects are finished.

Most of the animals seemed really healthy and most enclosures were well kept. Some of the animals were a bit tricky to spot and we found ourselves searching to no avail. A better viewing location could be of use there.I found the prices to be a bit high, but havent visited a zoo since Covid, so things might be different now.Other than than the park was clean and suited for people with buggy s or wheelchairs. Had a nice day!

Beautiful zoo, nog variety in animals, just a bit unlucky that we got there late and they were closing early because of a special event. And it is great you can bring your dog into the Zoo!

Considering the 4 star ratings I viewed here, I visited Allwetter zoo on August. The tickets charged was high because it didn't reach the expectations. They should keep location marker or provide with a map so that people don't miss any aspects and it guides more efficiently in navigating. Area is very big. Poorly maintained. Animals looked starved, unenergetic, gloomy.Good thing, even if animals looked unhealthy, we were able to see some lions, tiger, elefant, giraffes,zebras, pandas, which seem to be rare visuals here.Some reptiles weren't available to view or removed but placards were still posted.Overall, it's okay to visit but dont keep high expectations.

This winter in the early but dark hours of the evening you can visit the zoo - not to watch animals - of those you could only really see pelicans, but to watch great light installations, dipped into an eerie fog.It was a great experience and took about an hour - with all the photographing and stuff 😉Obviously you can get food and drinks, cold and hot, at about 7 way points.If you are in the area, I can recommend the visit, but I wouldn't drive that far, unless you REALLY like light 😅

I have mixed feelings with this Zoo. On the one hand the animals look physically healthy (maybe not mentally). However my biggest concern is the VERY SMALL space assigned even for Big animals like Rhinos, Elephants, Felines. You can see sadness in their eyes!

I really liked this zoo. The parking lot is very big so there's enough space to park your car. Another benefit are the parking- and entrance fee which aren't very high.The zoo is quiet big and offers hours of fun! They are building something near the entrance which will be done in 2022. I'm very curious and will definitely visit the zoo once this is done.There are various species of animals in this zoo and especially quiet a few different species of big cats. I love big cats which makes this zoo amazing! Most animals do have a good amount of space, but not all of them. For example the lions. Their habitat isn't the size it should be.And I think that some animals habitats are a bit doll.This zoo is also great if you have children. There are a lot of playgrounds where your children can play. There are also enough toilets throughout the whole zoo and a lot of different points where you can buy some food.I had a great time in this zoo and that is why I would recommend it to others.

Wonderful museum! The animals are well taken care of and live in clean environment. It's opened 365 days a year. I must say really enjoyed the penguins 🐧 🐧..they are so adorable! Would definitely come back.

Great experience, totally worth the price. Loved how curious are orangutans. Take at least three full hours to go through it at fast pace. It has a lot more animals than what I expected. One can see they care about the animals for they put a lot of toys and activities for them. Crazy how some gorillas look like actual people. Would highly recommend!

This zoo is a lot bigger than I expected from the way that some of the locals had talked about it prior to my showing up. Based on the number of big animals here, this exhibit is larger than my local Brooklyn zoo.I got to witness the majestic elephants eating in a moment that words cannot do justice. I was highly impressed with the spaces for the animals. I didn't even check out the souvenir spot as I was too tired after spending hours here and they have some major construction going on so I'm guessing that the spaces shall be expanding. The good work being done here deserves support!

Drove in for 9am to beat some of the crowds. Had to wait 5mins for a parking space right next to the market but more parking is available a short distance away.Well worth a visit, so much fresh food - fish, meats, bread and pastries as well as plants (both cut flowers and growing ones!)It got a lot busier after 10am so arrive early if you can. The rest of Munster was also great to have a stroll around

It's quite expensive. Produce is fresh depending on which vendor you go to. They start early in the morning and wrap up mostly by 12:00/13:00 hrs.They mostly only accept cash.

Almost each and every products were very expensive for obvious reasons as those were being sold by the growners directly but still the atmosphere was enchanting and the Kibbling (fish-fritters) was very delicious .

The biweekly farmers market of Münster is the perfect opportunity to get fresh and often local produce to prices, if you chose the right place to buy, that put supermarkets to shame. There is a wide variety of everything from the simple to the exotic. Add to that the many foodstalls that carter to almost any taste and you have a perfect example of what a market should be.

Amazing huge farmer's market every Saturday and Wednesday.

Best fresh produce, meats, hams, sausages, cheeses, breads, seafood, Asian spices, flowers, herbs, delicacies, fruits, juices and a galore of others anywhere!! 👏👏👏👌Of course you can buy a little cheaper at supermarket or discounters, however the variety, freshness and friendliness of merchants makes it worth to become a regular visitor.Elmar A. A very well-kept temple. Inside there is a whole lot of beautiful sculptures and paintings.The huge organ is impressive.Worth a visit when in Munster.

St. Paul's Cathedral is a 108 metre long structure built over a apan of 40 years in the 1200s. The entire build of this gigantic church is a typical representative of Gothic style. There are three organs here and the Astronomical clock is an attraction worth seeing.

One of the most beautiful churches I've ever seen. The architecture, the stained glass windows, the art inside are just amazing. The astronomical clock was my favorite part.

It doesn’t catch your eye from the outside, but it is marvelous from the inside, and full of tiny yet beautiful details.

The cathedral was destroyed during the war and reconstructed.Free entrance but take into account that if there's any activity inside you can't enter and you have to wait.

Incredible cathedral. It was damaged during the war and throughout the years. I like how it displays pictures of how it was look like with the damages and how it was restored and rebuilt to today’s shape. Inside the cathedral there are many chapels of which each of them shows different design and decorations. The most beautiful and impressive thing inside the church is the astronomical clock. It’s kept the original form and calendar which was built in 1600’s. It’s amazing to see how complicated the mechanical system was back then.

This church is so wonderful. You see a lot of history and the spirit of the middle age. It is free and you can walk around. What at the clock in the church. It is very special.

Very beautiful building.The only downside is that all the church wealth is inside and people are in the cold and outside begging for food. Maybe cater more to the people around the church than the visitors.

This is a wonderful place. Very beautiful and cozy, a lot of plants, cozy locations with flowers and comfortable chairs, an aquarium and a place where scuba divers can dive. I liked it very much

Definite recommend! €2 entry. :) Really nice place for a family day out and your dog. The park is full with beautiful flowers, plants,butterflies, ponds, large aquariums with a variety of fish. A lot to explore. You can eat at the cafa, sit around the ponds and enjoy the scene. The place also has a great scuba diving area. The staff are really friendly.

Natural pools are awesome idea, and here you can see it from first hand. Idea to have thise big fish is what bring me in. And I must say its so cool to have natural pools without chemicals with fish inside. Its proof that works on both ways, for aquarium and for pools. Place is big enough to spend a nice day there.

It's cool spot for scuba diving, though I think the tunnels are a bit same-y in appearance. Very large, tame fish that just swim right up to you. Good facilities and safety instructions, though they have trouble communicating in English. The dive spots is quite a distance from the parking spots, and a bit uphill too, but there's a cart you can borrow free of charge to make it easier to carry your gear up.

If you go during the week, the water has a great visibility. It's easy to spend one hour under water, since you really can see tons of things. I did 3 dives and it's a good place to practice or to enjoy scuba diving.The staff is friendly and well educated. Please make sure that you get the opening times of the restaurant and the time till when they gave the kitchen open too.

Brilliant collection of interesting vehicles!

The collection is for a large part from private owners around the area. It consists of multiple floors of display. The car enthusiast in the museum was happy to tell us more about how car manufacturers stole innovations from each other.

If you are looking for a place to dive into car history, attending this place is a must. Here you can find cars, produced as early as in 1900's, legends of German, French, American automotive industry and grasp how cars had evolved thoughout decades. All the cars here are operable. The exposition is not static, different cars are brought here by their owners to be displayed, so if you come here once in a while you'll never see same collection. If you are lucky enough you might even talk to one of the car owners. My family and child were excited to talk the owner of Ferrari Dino.. If you have a chance to talk to one of the museum co-owners, Mr. Heiner Rossler, from him you can hear many interesting facts about cars that you haven't known before. Cafe on the first floor offers good coffee and pies.

Awesome zoo, clear instructions, lots of clean and free bathrooms (which seems to be hard to find in Germany!😬), animals are in a good care. The zoo is pretty big so you need 2-3 hours. There’s a gift shop with lots of stuffed animals to choose from.

Beautiful Zoo, my kids love it there and you can walk around for hours. Definitely recommend to families that are living in the area or tourists!

My family and I visited Osnabrück Zoo and we were blown away by the size and variety of the animal exhibits! The zoo is massive, with something for everyone to enjoy. As a family with a 5 year old son, we found it to be an excellent choice.We decided to purchase the year ticket, which turned out to be great value for money as we were able to visit multiple times throughout the year. The cafe was also excellent, serving up classic German fries and sausage which we thoroughly enjoyed.There was ample parking available, which made our visit hassle-free. The sky walk was definitely the highlight of our trip - the views of the animals and surrounding area were simply breathtaking. The playgrounds were also fantastic and provided a fun and safe environment for our son to play in.Overall, we highly recommend Osnabrück Zoo to anyone looking for a fun and educational day out. It's the perfect choice for families with young children and animal lovers alike. We can't wait to visit again!

Its a very nice Zoo with lots of cool Animals, but they didnt really look after the Animals. Like there was a dead Snow-Owl and the Confinements were full of poop.

The zoo Osnabrück that has been around for more than 80 years. Its a very nice zoo with a lot of variety of animals, from ants to elephants. The zoo is continuously being improved to make the experience even more beautiful. there are plenty of eateries, seating areas, toilets and trash cans

Went to this zoo for the first time yesterday and it was fun for the whole family! The animals, the playgrounds, the scenery, the great picnic benches that are mostly shaded! We now have the Jahreskarte and will be coming back often.

Great day out, many animals in the enclosure-Be sure to visit the meerkat pen and play some meerkat noises on your phone.They are super intrigued and will all come out of hiding to take a peak!

All the animals look so impressive when you watch them live their lives in the clean habitats and there are great options to satisfy your hungry and thirst too!I visited the zoo a few times as a kid with my family and now I appreciate the animals and the great care they receive even more.This is a must see for Zoo fanatics, I have walked for six hours in this zoo last week, visited each animals twice and enjoyed every second of it!(P.S.These pictures are shot on my Oppo Reno2)

This is a great zoo, up close with the animals, good selection of wildlife. The world's supply of storks!! Sensible prices on food and drink. The WC and baby change were clean and tidy throughout the day.

Great place for the kids. Nice playground. The price is good. Would get a higher star if they had information about the dinosaur's in English. Like many places in Germany it focus mainly og Germans and Dutch visitors.

A great zoo. Its small but it has everything from spiders to tigers. The animals where exited and playfull. You get to be really close to all of them and there is even a place where you can walk with monkeys around you. You can hug goats and horses. The only downside is that you could only pay with cash.

A rather small zoo, with smaller animals than most zoo's.But some bigger animals are there.A lot of birds including really a lot of storcks that nest there and about half of the storcks stay in winter.Most of the other birds can be visited inside the cages but only after April. During the winter period these cages are closed
